Retailers have been building up to it for years, and Hallowthanksmas is finally coming unto its own. People complain about overlapping holidays, but why? The distinction between the three major holidays is only becoming less clear. Embrace it as Hallowthanksmas! It's certainly not going to disappear. Hallowthanksmas embodies the beginning of great food, great company and lots of giving. It's a great excuse to eat drink and be merry for three months straight!
There have been many articles siting the emergence of this holiday, and a lot of the press has been negative. The media has dubbed the increasing intrusion of Halloween by Christmas as the "Christmas Creep," and claims we forget Thanksgiving altogether, but nothing could be further from the truth!
Rather, each month is a celebration of its respective holidays, and seeing decorations and stores fully stocked should get our creative juices flowing; food, friends, parties and decorations are all a part of the holidays. Let's face it, Hallowthanksmas is here to stay, and I say God Bless It. And God Bless Us, everyone!
